Gingrich converted to Catholicism

Postby NINO » Tue Apr 07, 2009 7:27 am

So I thought Catholics didn't approve of divorce.

How is it that a 3 times married, twice divorced guy fits in with Catholics?

Btw, I consider Gingrich's affairs and treatments of his previous wives most dispicable.

The way I see it, Catholicism celebrates the mistreatment of women.

He fits right in.

As an outsider looking in, I can see where it can appear that way but in my years as one, I've never heard or seen anything to support that.

Well, I don't know how Catholic you are. Not to pick on you, but men saying that women got nothing to gripe about is like whites saying blacks, rich saying poor, Israelis saying Arabs, English saying Irish, Bushies saying tortured prisoners have nothing to complain about.

But to get back on topic: Gingrich is a true Evangelical Christian Scumbag, worshiping Mammon while talking about Jesus.

Women do have things to complain about but like I said, I've never seen anything from being a Catholic that would be "mistreatment."

I'd say maybe not as equal to men for being Clergy but that's about it.

Their natural superiority is not recognized.

To an outsider it may look that way. 20 year of Catholic Doctrine and 12 years in Catholic school and nothing like that was even implied.

Considering Mary is one of the most venerated people in the religion-more than any Protestant religion-it's hard for me to see that.

They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. - Mark 2:17

Your statement, applied logically, would automatically exclude anyone of converting to Catholicism, since all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

If Gingrich has repented, then of course he should be accepted, by any Bible-believing church he wishes to attend.
