Storm

Wow this was a wierd storm, don't think I've ever experienced anthing like it. It was super hot, but I was sitting on the porch. My son who lives in Fortville called and said they suddenly got hit with a huge wind and the temp was dropping. We had nothing, for about 30 min, then a ferocious wind (50mph?)enough for a lot of small branches to come down (and rid my yard of the anthracnose leaves from our tulip tree) came from the north. within 5 min I was shivering and put on a sweatshirt to wathc it come. Took another 30 min for the storm and finally rain. It's let up some now, but we got a good 30 min of good rain, looks like it might continue to rain lightly for awhile. At least the air will clear and I'll be able to breath again. Don't have a an outdoor thermometer but that has to be on of the greatest drops in temp I've seen.
I pray daily that I will be thankful for what I have and not be envious of those that have more than I.

Blew north of Indy... we got the gust front, then a few drops from that teasing bitch mother nature... not even enough to turn the kid dug dirt areas to mud.

We actually got a pretty good rain. I've been watering the lawn (we switched to city water about 15 years ago, but kept the outside spigots on the well), and the rain we got really greened up the the lawn. Don't have a rain gauge either, but would guess we got at least 0.5 in.
