Curmie, if it is to prevent woobbly legs, I suggest a mile or so a day in MBT shoes. They are a toner type shoe and are great for the calf muscles and ankles (if you use them properly--they can hurt your knees if you don't.) They will also help with endurance as they are like walking in sand.
