I remember being surprised when I first noticed him doing interviews on TV.

Read the book while hitchhiking back to Indiana from Cali, Then saw the movie and it is still one of my all time faves.

Best mafia/gangster movie of all time IMHO.

Donnie Brasco or Mean Streets would be the only others even in the same ball park for me. The Godfather movies were entertaining for what they were, which IMO was not much more than romanticized hollywood fantasy.

Donnie Brasco was really good to. When I was in middle school I read an autobiography of a mob hit man. The first line of the book was "Fuck The Godfather"

Pulp Fiction is a better movie than Goodfellas too.

Pulp fiction is an entertaining movie, a bit overrated IMHO I preferred Reservoir Dogs, it does not fit into the Italian mafia genre.

Ok, I didn't know you just meant Italian mafia movies. My bad.

That would be my bad. I didn't really specify, but it was how I meant it. Sorry for the confusion, but such is life on an internet forum.

No Country For Old Men is an awesome not Italian mob movie... though its only real focus is the hitman. What's this got to do with dead people? Well see in that flick, much like the end of Resevoir Dogs, everybody... oh wait. Don't wanna spoil it. :)
