I have absolutely no sympathy for intellectual property owners that don't seem to mind that China reverse engineers every piece of equipment that we develope. Intellectual property owners are way to hypocritical for me to care about.
Yeah that is a problem, that's what of the things the State Department, and Department of Commerce are supposed to be concerned about.
But, do you really think that GM has never stripped down a competitors product?
I would hope that they do take a peek at what makes the competition tick, but for goodness sake man, China re-engineers the product down to the last nut and bolt and fastener and sells the exact same product, side by side, legally, with the domestic companies that had to develope them. Obama just filed an unfair trade practice against China for something that they were doing this week.
As for SW, they try CF, but reality is that product cycles are just too fast for them to keep up.
Right. There are hundreds of millions of programers in India and China that are smarter and harder working and better educated than you will ever be.
This is where you are naive and how are wrong. SW development, at least of if it has value, is not as simple as explaining to some schmuck how to raise a manhole. In other words, a normal person cannot learn such a skill over the weekend,
