Attachments disabled

Sorry folks, attachments are disabled for the time being, and we may have lost most of what we had. There is a backup, but it's not particularly recent. In the meantime you may wish to avail yourself of some free image hosting services. Tinypic is one that I use a lot.

I use photobucket and it has served me well also.

Damn does that mean we lost all of Carlos' "girlie" pictures?
"The rational man must sacrifice himself to the irrational, the independent man to the parasites, the honest man to the dishonest, the man of justice to the unjust, the productive man to the thieving loafers, the man of integrity to the compromising knaves, the man of self-esteem to the sniveling neurotics" - John Gault

By attachments, do you mean inline linking is disabled? That is, linking to an image on another site, and thus downloading the image from that site with every page load.

If so, good. Inline linking tends to be bad policy.

It encourages spamming crap pictures, as several people here have demonstrated.

It's leeching someone else's bandwidth, and giving them no benefits for the service.

And it raises copyright issues. And security issues.
