Grossman out?

and the NFL

Postby BigDog » Wed Sep 26, 2007 1:50 pm

Looks like it's official. Greise #1 and Grossman is #2. Orton stays at #3.

Boy, did you hit the nail on the head! Benson should go back to be Lieutenant Governor, or whatever position it was he held.

Don't forget Ron Turners shining moment in his professional career, driving the Fighting Illini straight to the bottom of the league as head football coach.

The Bears made some BAD personnel decisions, and it's coming back to haunt them. The defense will not redeem the offense like it did last year.

This should have happened last year, but the Bears are a little slow. Since week 6 of last year, Rex is the lowest rated QB in the NFL. This move isn't going to save the Bears, but it is a move that needs to happen. It paves the way for bringing McNabb back home next year as well.

Nick the lost.

I don't feel sorry for Rex, he only succeeded here in Bloomington because Daddy had enough money to make sure his little boy had the best of everything. I graduated with one of his sisters and all I heard about in high school was the Grossmans, they weren't the best athletes but Dr. Grossman made sure they were STARS, it didn't matter the cost! I think its time Rex got put in his place and found out that daddy can't help him out of this one.

I doubt that any father's money can buy someone a place on an NFL team, much less starting in the SuperBowl. Maybe Rex is not a good NFL quarterback, yet or ever, but he is in the league, like every other player, due to having a talent that 99.999% of the population lacks. More power and good luck to him.

I remember an interesting statistic from the NCAA Clearinghouse... There are over 1 Million High School football players in the U.S. Only 150 of them will get to the NFL.

Bottom line... Get a good education because someday football will be over and you are going to need it.

When your defense gives up 37 points, there's not much anyone can do.

It has been an interesting year. I am firmly planted in La Porte County in northwest Indiana. Our life is getting somewhat back to normal after building a house the last 6 months. I miss B-town dearly, but sounds like I got out of Ellettsville at the right time with all the posts lately.
I still visit the site a few times a week to browse.

Brian Griese drove down the field for the winning and only touchdown after his headset went out and was calling his own plays instead of Ron Turner's. Coincidence?

The Bears are getting desperate (or else just giving up) as they have announced Kyle Orton as next week's starter:

Or, as the commenters on that page like to refer to him, "Neckbeard."

Surely this is a sign they have given up for this year?

Yeah, can you believe it? Orton of all people???

What happened to Griese? I thought he did a decent job, but I haven't been following too closely.

After a truly horrendous first game, Kyle "Neckbeard" Orton finished up strong. OK, "strong" might be too much, but he looked decent in the last two games, both Bears wins.

Who knows where the Bears will go with quarterback next year? I predict one of the three (Griese, Orton, Grossman) will be back next year with the Bears as a backup.
